More About Mission Athens, GA
Chris and Britta Sieggen were called to Athens, GA to partner with Rev. Daniel Adkinson and the Anglican Diocese of the South in a new church plant called St. Thomas Anglican Church.
Chris is on part time staff at St. Thomas as the Worship Director and is also a part time student at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary working on his Masters of Divinity. Chris will enter into the Ordination process in the Anglican Diocese of the South in 2019.
With the generous support of our partners, Chris and Britta were able to move from Kansas City and establish themselves in Athens, GA this past year. In a year’s time, the church has grown from a church plant of 35 attenders to an official parish with an average of 80 attenders on a Sunday. Mission Athens and St. Thomas are now in an opportune position to impact the local community in more robust ways.
We are committed to sharing the transformative good news of the Gospel in this vibrant progressive college town and we are excited to invite our current and future partners into this essential work of the Gospel.
